Kobe Bryant’s wife files for divorce after years of enduring his philandering ways and she stands to rake in a huge divorce settlement. One would think that after Kobe successfully defended himself against a Colorado resort employees accusations of non-consensual sex in 2003, that he would have thought twice about cheating on her again.
But alas, it seems that he just can’t shake the disease and after 10 years of marriage, Vanessa has decided to stop looking the other way. Putting up with his cheating for so long was most likely strategic on her part because the courts consider a 10-year marriage to be a lengthy one.
Kobe has been accused of being with actress Sanaa Lathan and Playboy’s Miss February 2009, Jessica Burciaga. Both women have denied being one of the many notches on his belt.
There has been speculation that the couple might be heading towards a reconciliation because they have been seen recently being affectionate towards each other but Vanessa appears to be moving forward with the divorce. She filed for the divorce on Dec. 15th, 2011, citing irreconcilable differences and she stands to receive approximately $75 million, not including child and spousal support.
