Easy Tips To Cure Your Plumbing Woes
Are you suffering from plumbing woes? If so here are a few easy tips to cure your plumbing woes which I read in Plumbing HVAC.
Your Septic Tank
Have your septic tank inspected every five years to keep it working properly. Although it is somewhat of an expense to pump out a septic tank, it will cost a lot more having to clean sewage backup or having to fix or replace a septic tank.
Maybe in another article I will share some of the horror stories I have read at Plumbing HVAC, because people failed to follow this little tip. Plumbers (υδραυλικοί) would be glad to share their personal stories with us in every chance they have.
Save Money With A Strainer
Most home owners/business owners do not think twice about their sinks, showers and other equipment with drains. That is… Until they are facing a major clog that will not go away. Most people will make the problem worse by attempting to use dangerous over the counter solutions without reading the label.
All of this can easily be avoided by spending a few dollars on strainers. Simply place them over, on or in all of the drains in your home and or business establishment. It only takes a few seconds for each one.
A strainer will simply catch any debris that may otherwise enter your drain and end up building up and causing a major problem.
Double Check The Overflow
Most sinks will have what is known as overflow holes. From constant use overtime these holes will tend to get clogged. Overflow holes are there to serve as a backup encase your sink should ever… OVERFLOW! If your overflow system is not working properly you could possibly be faced with water damaged floors.
Do You Have Well Water?
If your house uses well water and you start to see orange or pink stains in your tub and other water fixtures, then you can be sure that the culprit is iron in your water. This is fixed by using water softener, which you can buy at a store, or have a company come out to your house and take care of it for you.
Schedule all the plumbing work simultaneously. You may be tempted to call a professional handyman if you have any minor issues, but having multiple repairs done at once allows you to save up for the cost. Most plumbers charge an hourly rate and a flat rate for the trip: asking a plumber to fix multiple problems in one visit to your home is a money saver for sure.
